A few photographs from the Italian lakes
Here are a few of my images from the Italian Lakes
A selection from (Lake Orta, Lake Maggiore & Lake Como) as part of our 2015 Lakes & Lederhosens tour.
A couple of weeks that created many adventures and plenty of memories. From an all too brief visit to the Alsace region of France, through the Swiss mountain passes. All of this before we hit our first real destination on Lake Maggorie. The gave us a base to visit the Borromean islands, Lake Orta before heading onto Lake Como.
However that was only half the break - there was a part two.
The technical bits
A Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III was used to capture the RAW images. The EF24-105mm L series lens was used for all the shots featured here.
All of the shots we captured in camera raw and imported into Adobe's Lightroom. HDRSoft's Photomatix was used to tone-map the images to increase the impact. Adobe Photoshop was used for the final clean-up.
If a particular shot interests you or want to know more about my workflow just let me know.
Have You?
Visited the Italian lakes? What's you favourite of these grand waterways? Where's your favourite hidaway? (Ours is Lake Orta - but don't tell the others!)
Inspired to visit the Italian Lakes?
For locations I think Lake Como has the edge - but I'm willing to be proved wrong 😉
