Barcelona, Spain – behind the lens
Barcelona, Spain's second largest city is a great location for a mini break
Barcelona: The city by the beach, maybe the best introduction to Spain. A city which will not disappoint, which will please the senses on many fronts. Be sure to visit the La Boqueria, the fantastic food market just off the Ramblas. An explosion of colour, sounds & smell.
With Gaudi's materpieces, including the unfinished Sagrada Familia and the gothic quarter (Barri Gotic) you have architecture that turns your head. Explore and you will discover so much, from the Bullrings , part of Catalonia's past to the wonderful harbour front. Just make sure you have a way of capturing your visit.
Here are a few of my images from our visit in 2013. Photomatix by HDRSoft has been used to tone-map the images to give an interesting effect.
